The National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum & Hall of Fame
2011 Inductee
On November 19, 2011 Buck Taylor was inducted into the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum and Hall of Fame, along with such distinguished persona as Freddie “Skeet” Gordon, Glynn Turman, Joe Beaver, Peter Perkins Pitchlynn, Ruth Scantlin Roach,Shirlie Sanders, and William “Will” Penn Adair Rogers; all of whom met the criteria outlined in the NMWHM mission statement for this distinguished honor--- Men and Women who “…have made exemplary contributions to Western Heritage, past and present.” Congratulations to all!

The
Texas Trail of Fame
2008 Inductee
The
Texas Trail of Fame was established in 1997 to honor those who have made
a significant contribution to our Western way of life. Throughout the
walkways of the Fort Worth National Historic District, bronze inlaid markers
have been placed in honor of their achievements.
The
desire of the Texas Trail of Fame is to inspire and educate visitors through
the adventure of reflecting on these Westerner's accomplishments.

Wrangler"
In
2006 Buck was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers, along
with A.C. Lyles who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Texas
Cowboy Hall of Fame
Buck
received the "Spirit of Texas Award" and was inducted into
the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame on January 12, 2006.
The
Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame was founded by Bobby and Susan Kerr in 1997
to pay homage to the outstanding horsemen and women in Texas, who have
excelled in and out of the arena.
The
Spirit of Texas Award was established to recognize those individuals
whose lives and accomplishments epitomize the independence, individuality,
and innovative thinking associated with being Texan. In August, 2004
the award was renamed in honor of country music promoter Rick Smith,
whose vision helped spread the "sound and spirit of Texas"
around the world.

George Strait, Willie Nelson, Larry Mahan, Bob Watt, Jr., and Martha
Josey

Utah's
Little Hollywood
Walk
of Fame
In
2005, Buck's star was added to the Kanab, Utah "Little Hollywood."
His star resides between Ronald Reagan and Tom Mix.
Famous
for its wild and scenic western flavor, Kanab is often referred to as
"Utahs Little Hollywood", as nearly one hundred movies
have been filmed in the area. The area has its own walk of fame
featuring wild west celebrities such as actors Ronald Reagan, producer
Howard Koch, Tom Mix, Dale Evans, Ben Johnson, and the entire cast of
Gunsmoke.

Dodge
City Trail of Fame
Buck's
medallion was placed on the Trail of Fame in 2000.
The
Dodge City Trail of Fame, Inc. is a walking tour of the Old Dodge City
historic district. The trail is marked with sidewalk medallions and
statuary to commemorate the many famous and infamous denizens of historic
Dodge City. Additionally, many medallions are dedicated to notable movie
and television stars who have portrayed famous Dodge Citians. The Dodge
City Trail of Fame, Inc. is an ongoing project which is expected to
continue for many years to come. Eventually, there should be 80 to 100
of the 24 inch diameter bronze sidewalk medallions and a number of historic
sculptures throughout the historic district.

Blake, and Errol Flynn

Walk
of Western Stars Award
Buck
received another career honor in 2003. He joined the elite group included
in the "Walk of Western Stars" sidewalk in Santa Clarita,
CA.
The
Downtown Newhall Walk of Western Stars began in 1981 as a means of honoring
Western film, stage, television and radio personalities who performed
in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Festival of the West
"Cowboy
Spirit Award"
The Cowboy Spirit Award is presented to recognize those men and women
who have set the example of Western heroes with integrity, strength
of spirit. and moral character. Buck received this award in 1998.

Boot Award
In
1993 Buck was presented the Golden Boot Award by The Motion Picture &
Television Fund.
The
Golden Boot Awards was founded in the early 1980s by Pat Buttram, William
Campbell, and Caruth Byrd, and organized by the Motion Picture and Television
(MPTV) Fund in an effort to honor the "Best of the West"

award was presented to Buck in 1972 for Pike, an episode from
Gunsmoke, CBS and again in 1981 in the Special Awards category,
